[ROOT] Important note on rooting your device.

This post is from my recent experience on rooting devices.
Recently, my colleague rooted his device from an external site other than HotMOD as we were yet to post about his device.
He was in a hurry to flash a custom ROM being inspired from my ParanoidAndroid3+ so he rooted it and flashed CWM files. He followed the instructions given and ended himself into a bootloop!
Later on research I found the CWM files for his device were faulty and had bugs.

Later I recovered his device by flashing a new recovery. His device was managed and it is working well now but it may not be the case with you’ll so please note the following:
1.       Root your device searching for files (if not available on HotMOD) and do view a video tutorial for the same and confirm that the given file works properly.
2.       If possible read the comments if it may have any information on the bugs and views on the file after using it.
3.       Keep knowledge of your stock rom files so if you end up in a bootloop or some similar problem you can flash it through ODIN if you don’t have huge programs like ADB or SDK or are unable to use it.
4.       Always take a Nandroid backup before flashing anything.
5.       Have battery charger above 80% because flashing stuff into your device consumes a huge amount of battery so if your battery empties system files maybe damaged and  your may brick your device.

Do write to us your experiences, mistakes made during modding/rooting and the way ypu recovered your device to help everyone.

Happy Modding!

Team HotMOD!;)
