As crazy as it sounds, this gratis launcher attempts to take on the ultrapopular Google Now one, and introduces the ability to use it with third-party apps.

Any app that is tailored for the launcher, which, for now, are the developer's own Talon and EvloveSMS, can appear as a separate page on your homescreen, so you can just swipe around to get access to these tailored apps. This is different than the plethora of sidebar add-ons and launchers out there, and resembles the Google

Xolo's own new UI - HIVE

Xolo on Wednesday unveiled its brand new Hive UI, which is the company's take on Android, similar to what Chinese companies Oppo and Xiaomi have done with ColorOS and MIUI respectively. Google Now Launcher now available for 4.1 Jelly Bean devices

On August 1, Google updated its Google Now Launcher and the update saw the launcher now being available to Jelly Bean 4.1 users. This means that now stock users can use the Google Now Launcher without rooting their device. The Launcher's APK was available for download at HotMOD in November last year when KitKat released. But, the app worked only on some devices, like devices with 1GB+ RAM, or rooted devices, etc. So, if you had a 4.1 Jelly Bean unrooted device, getting the Google Now Launcher (previously the Google Experience Launcher- GEL) was impossible. But now Google has officially updated the app and has made it available for devices running JB 4.1 or higher. However, any further updates making it available to ICS devices is very unlikely, but still rooted ICS users can have the launcher on their devices. Jelly Bean users can download the launcher from the link at the end of the post. Time to say "Ok Google". Just make sure you have the latest Google Search app installed.
