LAUNCHER
Xolo has segregated and arranged apps into easily identifiable stacks chronologically, based on – time, alphabetically or even by usage type (social, music & audio, media and video etc.).The Launcher also comes equipped with a one touch RAM cleaner that clears background apps to free precious RAM space so that you can enjoy an uninterrupted experience. Apart from that, it includes new and cool widgets for the Music Player, one click calls and one click messages amongst others.If there's a need to search for files, you can comfortably depend on the File Explorer to yield accurate results in a jiffy. The File Explorer can easily segregate applications based on type – audio, video etc. This also comes with built in web server. Now you browse and download all the files on your Android device without the need for a cable. (PS: This looks somewhat similar to the Aviate Launcher)
LOCKSCREEN
HIVE's lock screen is one that cascades down allowing you one touch access to call logs, the message counter and the camera function – all your important needs bundled together, making it at once convenient and manageable. Also get prompt calls and message updates right under the cascade, where you can notice them in a blink.
CHAMELEON WIDGET
The Chameleon Widget makes any additions to your home screen look seamless and delightful. The Chameleon Widget provides quick information on weather and calendar, apart from notifications regarding missed calls, SMS and email. Each time you change the wallpaper, the Chameleon Widget effortlessly picks the most prominent colour from the background and blends itself with it, thereby making it easy on your eyes. CONTROLS
The insparations for controls looks to be things like an LP record, the volume control dial on a music player, the console of a disc jockey and the cassette of yesteryears. Xolo also integrated into the quick settings dock, a few other control switches for your benefit and has included a toggle function to switch between dual SIM for calls or messages. In case of emergencies, there’s a one touch flash-light that immediately comes to your rescue. Xolo has done away with the hassle of keeping the power and volume buttons pressed simultaneously for a screen capture. Now all it takes is a deft touch. There are other functions as well that Xolo has bundled under the ‘More’ button to keep the control tray neat and manageable.
CONTACTS
The Contacts Book has been designed to be your single point of reference, for all communication threads relating to every contact – whether it is calls or messages; so that you can easily follow, start or resume conversations without having to dig it out from elsewhere. Similarly, Facebook sync fetches the latest Facebook display picture of your contact in high resolution, as and when they change it, so that you could save it against their number in your Contacts Book.The Contacts Book looks neat and elegant with a stylish, contemporary layout that makes following every bit of information convenient.
MEDIA CENTRE
Xolo has integrated its Media Centre with last.fm that pushes instant recommendations. last.fm brings in a unique way of artist based recommendations and as a result, the Media Centre intelligently recommends you the next track on the basis of whichever musical score you are listening to. Simply tap on the artists tab to get into artist based recommendations.The Media Centre is also tightly integrated with YouTube, wherein you can access trending songs by your favourite artists via a single click. This entire experience coupled with Dolby DTS provides great surround sound experience, along with an equalizer that comes with a lot of pre-sets.The Media Centre provides automatic album cover updates to make the experience of listening to, and searching for music, visually appealing. Its meta-data editing facility keeps your collection details well sorted. The player initialises automatic background searches for missing album art and fetches matching images to ensure your music collection is always updated.
THEMES
Ever imagined, what a phone would look like if it were to be designed in a way that everything from the home screen, to the absolutely minutest details were to form part of one meticulously uniform visual story? That was the challenge we took head on, while undertaking the task of creating our range of Themes. We, at XOLO, went into the DNA of Theme design and took it upon ourselves to go into every little detail, so as to not make the design effort look airbrushed. Whether it was the lock screen background, the apps, its icons and colours, or even the control switches and buttons within individual apps; we delved deep into creating a range of wholesome Themes, each of which lent itself perfectly to even the smallest detail. Each Theme, when installed changes the look of your phone intrinsically.To that effect, we have partnered with a set of niche Indian designers; each of them with their own areas of design expertise; to create a range of Themes for you to choose from. So that you have the freedom to visually express yourself through your own device.
