Join the Holofication Nation and Find Your Favorite Apps in Holo Style. Holo UI was introduced just over two years ago with Ice Cream Sandwich. It was Google’s attempt to unify the look of Android, and in time became a quite successful project. Now apps look better, feature pleasing colors, and compose really nice with Jelly Bean or KitKat. Holo became a standard, but some applications still use their own style, which simply doesn’t fit to modern UI.
The official Instagram app is plagued with the horrible interface which is borrowed from iOS 6. While the UI has been improved over the years, it's still nothing that we've come to expect from an Android app which follows the official Android design guidelines. Instagram chooses to ignore the guidelines, they choose to ignore their users' cry for a holo UI, we however, we choose to listen to their cries. This, is Holofication Nation's Holo Instagram.
